This Head is devoted to the description of procedures of repair of the ryadny 6-cylinder engine in volume of 4.0 l which performance is possible without extraction of last of the car. All information concerning procedures of removal and installation of the engine, and also major maintenance of the block and a head of cylinders can be found in Head of Procedure of the general and major maintenance of the engine.
The description offered below repair procedures is made on the basis of the assumption that the engine remains established on the car. If the engine is removed and transferred on the assembly stand, many from recommended below steps will appear inapplicable.
The specifications provided in the beginning of this Chapter belong only to the procedures described here. Requirements to performance of procedures of repair and restoration of the block and a head of cylinders are stated by Spetsifikatsionnye at the beginning to Head of Procedure of the general and major maintenance of the engine.
