Removal and installation of a radiator and broad tank of system of cooling

Before starting performance of procedure wait complete cooling of the engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. Empty cooling system (Head of Control and routine maintenance). If the cooler is rather new, or is in a satisfactory condition, keep it for further application.

Removal and installation of a broad tank of system of cooling

Before starting performance of procedure wait complete cooling of the engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover a jellied mouth of a tank and empty cooling system (Head of Control and routine maintenance), plums from a tank all liquid.
  2. Weaken shlangovy collars and disconnect a hose from a tank.
  3. Give screws/nut and remove a tank.
  1. Give the screw with a nut, disconnect a hose (shooters) and take a broad tank of system of cooling from the engine.
  1. Installation make upside-down.

Radiator removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Weaken shlangovy collars remove from the unions radiatorny hoses. If hoses "became attached", grasp them closer by the end being self-blocked nippers and try повращать, then remove them from unions - try not to damage unions the Old or destroyed hoses it is necessary to cut off from unions and at assembly to replace new.
  2. Disconnect a hose of a broad tank from a jellied mouth of a radiator.
  3. Take (having hooked them) two clips of fastening of forward rubber consolidation of a cowl, having provided with that access to two of bolts of fastening of the top support of a radiator (the panel with fixed on it information шильдами). Give bolts.
  4. Give other bolts of fastening of a support of a radiator and remove a support together with a clamp of the lock of a cowl and the driving cable connected to it. Put a support aside.
  1. Remove a radiator support together in a clamp of the lock of a cowl and put it aside.
  1. Give screws of fastening of a casing of the fan to a radiator and shift a casing towards the engine.
  2. If the car is equipped with AT, disconnect from a back part of a radiator of the line of cooling of transmission liquid (Head Automatic transmission). For collecting spilled liquid use drain capacity.
  3. To Zakuporta lines and unions.
  4. Give fixing bolts and carefully take a radiator from an impellent compartment. Do not allow pouring out from a cooler radiator on the painted surfaces of the car (antifreeze is aggressive in relation to them).
  1. Taking a radiator from an impellent compartment, try not to damage its plates about blades and a casing of the fan (arrow).

Radiator installation

After removal the radiator can be checked on existence of signs of leaks and damages. If the radiator needs under repair, it it is necessary to send in a specialized workshop or the dealer office, having at the order the corresponding equipment.

Taking a radiator from the car it is necessary to remember an arrangement and an order of installation of various rubber pillows and sealants (top, bottom and lateral). At assembly all of them should be established in accuracy on the former places.

Rubber a sealant and the pillows established on perimeter of a radiator and between a radiator and the condenser should be established at assembly in accuracy on the former places.

Remains of insects and old leaves can be removed from gaps between radiator plates by means of a soft brush or the compressed air. Try not to bend plates and not to cut about them fingers. At a purge of a radiator send a current of air only to the opposite party from the engine.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check radiator support on existence of signs of aging of a material of rubber pillows and track, that in them it was forgotten nothing at radiator installation into place.
  2. Installation make upside-down.
  3. After installation fill system of cooling with a mix of demanded structure (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).
  4. Start the engine and make sure of lack of signs of leakages of a cooler. Let's to the engine get warm to normal working temperature that proves to be true a warming up of the top hose of a radiator. Again check cooler level, in case of need make having added.
  5. If works are made on equipped AT the car, check also level of transmission liquid, in case of need make having added.
