Service of system of production of the fulfilled gases - the general information

Check of a condition and repair of components of system of release should be made later a sufficient period after engine switching off when system components completely cooled down. Besides, working under the car take care of reliability of its fastening in the lifted condition.

The system of release consists of a final collector (ов), the catalytic converter, the exhaust silencer, final and connecting pipes, arms, подвесов and fixing collars and clips. Components of system fasten to the car bottom by means of arms and rubber подвесов. The wrong installation of any details conducts to emergence of extraneous noise and the vibrations transferred on a body of the car.

The arm of an exhaust pipe fastens to the car bottom by means of rubber подвеса.

Exhaust silencer and pipes

For a podderzhivaniye of components of system of release constantly in a satisfactory condition and for the purpose of prevention of emergence of noise and vibrations regularly check a condition of its components. Examine components on existence of damages, the deformations, the dispersed seams, the holes, weakened fixture, signs of excessive corrosion and other defects as a result of which existence there can be a leakage of the fulfilled gases and their hit in car salon. The spoiled sections of system of release should not try to be restored - they should be replaced. Do not forget also about check of a condition of the catalytic converter.

If system sections as a result of impact of corrosion do not give in to a partition, for their removal use of the welding equipment can be demanded. The simplest way of the solution of this problem is the request for the help in a car-care center workshop where sections will be divided by means of gas cutting. However, in case of the constrained monetary circumstances (or for the purpose of receiving self-satisfaction) it is possible to try to make removal of defective components independently. For this purpose (if is absent possibility to use gas cutting) it is possible to dismember system sections by means of a hacksaw on metal. If there is an access to a source of the compressed air and there is a possibility to use a pneumatic cutting/cutting nozzle, use it. Do not forget to put on goggles and work in gloves.

At performance of repair of system of release it is necessary to adhere to the following elementary rules:

  • Move ahead along system from its end by the beginning.
  • For simplification of an otdavaniye of fixture previously impregnate it with getting oil
  • At installation of components of system surely replace laying, подвесы and collars.
  • Carving part of fixture before installation grease with anti-taking hermetic.
  • Make sure that between again established components of system and a surface of the bottom of the car there is the sufficient gap necessary for prevention of damage of internal furnish of salon, rugs and an insulating layer as a result of an overheat. Special attention give to quality of installation of the catalytic converter and the thermofilter.

Catalytic converter

The catalytic converter during operation of the engine heats up to very high temperatures. Before touching it make sure that it cooled down enough.

Regularly check the thermofilter on existence of cracks, dents, weakening of fastening or fixture loss.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the thermofilter and check the catalytic converter on existence of cracks and other damages.
  2. If it is necessary to replace the catalytic converter, give nuts of fastening of its both flanges, remove rubber support and take the converter from system of production of the fulfilled gases (for removal of the converter from fixing hairpins it is required to push away sections of pipes of system).
  3. Installation make upside-down. Do not forget to replace laying.
