Removal and battery installation

If the car is transferred to a non-use mode (the engine will not be started) for the term of more than 20 days, it is necessary to remove IOD safety lock in power supply distribution center in order to avoid an excessive discharge of the battery.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from the wire battery both.

First of all always disconnect from the battery a negative wire in order to avoid casual short circuit at an otdavaniye of a terminal clip positive.


If the radio tape recorder in your car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting from the battery a negative wire make sure that this code know.

  1. Remove a clamping level of the battery.
  1. Give two nuts (arrows), then remove from the battery a clamping level.
  1. Remove from the battery the thermofilter.
  1. Remove the battery. Be careful - it weighs quite a lot.

In shops of automobile accessories for reasonable price it is possible to get the special bandages equipped with handles for simplification of procedure of extraction of the battery from the car.

  1. Having removed the battery, check a condition of her holder (pallet) (on existence of traces of corrosion and other damages).
  2. If corrosion passed to a battery arm, give bolts and remove an arm. Support cleaning with application of solution of baking soda will help to protect an arm from further oxidation.
